Aubine Duclos. Living Room. February 23rd , 2018.
Symmetry is not an element that characterizes modern interiors but, in this case, it has a comforting effect. Notice that the two sofas are facing each other and that there’s an identical pendant lamp above each one. Also, the two windows are placed symmetrically on each side of the fireplace.
A tan couch offers you two options: either select a red shade and give the room a bold look or go with a contrasting color for a contemporary look. Turquoise, emerald green, lime yellow or purple are great options.
Other possibilities for this or any modular furniture system include forming partial or complete room dividers. Looking through the shelves from one room to the next gives a rather dramatic view of both your belongings and your home.
If you’d like the room to look cohesive and well put together, then the color you use on the walls, in this case a shade of turquoise, should also be included elsewhere in the room, in the form of accessories such as an ottoman, a lampshade, etc. the colors don’t have to be identical.
The living room is the hub of most modern homes, and as such it typically houses the most impressive furniture. Italian furniture manufacturer Tumidei created these modern living rooms using their Laltrogiorno furniture system.
